About Greene & Associates
History
Founded in 1986 by William (Bill) H. Greene III, Greene & Associates has worked to become one of the strongest, independent wholesale brokers and specialty underwriters of Umbrella & XS Liability programs in the country. With humble beginnings that started at the dining room table of his parents’ home outside Buffalo, NY, Bill began writing commercial insurance business with the help of family and local clients.
Building Our Business
As our Umbrella program continued to grow, so too did our primary GL program for New York State contractors. Because Greene & Associates could provide first-dollar coverage, up to $20 million in limits through our in-house underwriting, we had a great edge over other writers, many of whom had exclusions for business in New York City and even New York State.Â
Today
Today, Greene & Associates remains a family-owned business. Our President, Jennifer Greene, continues the legacy left by her father Bill, while being supported by our staff of experienced underwriters to carve out a valuable niche in the insurance world. Being individual risk underwriters enables our staff to focus on risk quality in each account we write. Greene’s reputation is its most important asset. And our employees reinforce that into every customer relationship we forge.Â
